For Berkeley Pride, East Bay Queer Open Mic will feature a dance event on Saturday August 29 at Shawl Anderson Dance Center, and hold open mic at the outdoor festival on Sunday August 30.

Come to experience dance and movement to express yourself and your feelings! East Bay Queer Open Mic becomes Open Floor for a celebration of Berkeley Pride on the beautiful new floor at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center. We will mix short performances and participatory demonstrations with prompted improvisations, and you can choose to participate or just watch. We invite any style you want to share, as long as you don’t wear shoes!
note: the dance studio is on the second floor with stairs only

Audience participation is optional: alternating with prepared dance presentations, we will play music and prompt for improvisation.
